“Getting on with things, I guess.” This bit is easier to tell, oddly enough. This is the bit where he got okay again, where Mary made him okay. “I met someone.” John smiles with a flash of sheepishness. “We’re married now, actually. She’s in Darrow, too, and we have a daughter.” He shrugs like it’s nothing, like Mary and Evie aren’t the only people keeping him afloat some days, like having a family doesn’t terrify him. “I mean, it was hell for a little while. You lose someone like that...” He blinks a few times, takes a breath. “But you get on with things."
